My Chemical Romance Responds To Glee Critics About The Song 'Sing'

The hit TV show 'Glee' has critics, of course. But the critics are now hitting the band, My Chemical Romance.
A recent episode in Glee features the My Chem single, 'Sing'. There were lots of good (and bad!) reviews on the episode, having to do with the song 'Sing' or not. But Glenn Beck, who is right to his point, accuses the TV show for "propaganda" by using 'Sing'.
BBC (www.bbc.co.uk) writes "He [Glenn Beck] urged parents to be wary about the song's message, adding it urged young people to 'join us'."
The lyrics "Cleaned-up corporation progress / Dying in the process" is viewed as criticising the big businesses all over the world.
My Chemical Romance's Gerard Way and Mikey Way speak out
"Nobody has ownership over this band," Gerard Way says in a BBC interview. "Like, I've always felt like that we don't have ownership over this band. This band is like something special, that it's like a gift to us and then one day we won't do it anymore and... there's nobody who owns us. Nobody that controls us, nobody can tell us what to do. I think a real fan of the band knows that."
"I kind of refuse to defend myself." Gerard adds later on. "If anything," Gerard says that they will explain "why we did this."
In the same interview, Mikey Way, bassist and younger brother of Gerard, says, "I feel like it's- it's a vaildation that we're doing something right, you know. For getting that reaction from like that, we're doing something right."
